But huge files, that's why you don't stream it.
Sincedolby atmos is object based, it needs to render and thus it's different than a generic PCM output (like stereo). What I am looking for is a box that takes an input (HDMI or USB doesn't matter) and outputs in a digital format. Ideally it would be in I^2S, AES/EBU or SPDIF format. I also noticed that some variants of dolby atmos are lossy.DolbyAtmos is an audio format that can be delivered via TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus codecs. Dolby Atmos data is hidden within the bitstream and can be decoded by a Dolby Atmos-compatible A/V Receiver, soundbar or television. Non-Dolby Atmos capable devices will decode a 5.1-ch or 7.1-ch version from the Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby TrueHD w3x2.
